Our students need arts education now!<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/selarts.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arts Education &amp; Social Emotional Learning Framework<\/a> <\/strong>is designed to illuminate the intersection between arts education and social-emotional learning to allow for the intentional application of appropriate teaching and learning strategies, with the overarching goal of enhancing art education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Art education has benefits beyond the obvious and should be part of any high-quality child care education program. Not only does its inclusion inspire creativity and a love of learning, but also encourages important life skills like sharing, caring, self-expression, confidence, and empathy. Children need experiences that help them expand their understanding of the world around them, and art-based activities fulfill that need in a wide variety of ways.\u00a0 <em>The VA Infant &amp; Toddler Network helps improve the quality of care for infants and toddlers through extensive resources, services, and education for caregivers. <u><a href=\"http:\/\/va-itsnetwork.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Learn more<\/a><\/u> about how we can help you improve the standard of care.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/educationcloset.com\/2018\/01\/01\/sel-arts-social-awareness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Institute for Art Integration and STEAM<\/a> shared how they promote <strong>social awareness<\/strong> through art activities. Through arts we can learn to take the perspective of others, find commonalities, and appreciate our differences. Through our passions and a shared community of diverse backgrounds we can also deepen positive relationships with others.
